Scars, stretch marks and changes in body skin texture can remain visible long after the skin has healed.

Understanding your concerns

Why does it happen?

Does this feel like you?

Does this feel like you?

Scars form as the skin repairs itself following injury, surgery, inflammation or acne. The final appearance depends on the depth of the original damage, collagen production, healing response, scar location and individual skin characteristics.

Stretch marks are a form of dermal scarring that can develop when the skin changes more quickly than its deeper supporting structures can adapt, such as during pregnancy, growth, weight change or muscle development.

Scars and stretch marks may appear indented, raised, firm, discoloured or texturally different from the surrounding skin. Understanding the type, age and condition of the area allows us to select treatments that encourage remodelling and improve the overall quality of the skin.
